Well here I am, taking a leap
The Dolly Parton song "Here I Am" sings," here I am reaching out to give you love that you're without, I can help you find what you've been searching for, here I am, come to me, take my hand because I believe, I can give you all the love you need and more, Oh here I am, Oh here I am, here I am."
“Here I am reaching out to give you love that you're without. I can help you find what you've been searching for, here I am, come to me, take my hand because I believe, I can give you all the love you need and more. Oh here I am, Oh here I am, here i am.”
So here I am reaching out. I have built this site myself and made plans for my future that feel exciting and also terrifying.
Step into the Threshold
This week I decided to step out of my teaching home, the studio I first started officially teaching at almost 3 years ago. I cannot name how profound that experience has been, to learn so much and come to love so many people who helped me thrive and fall in love with this yoga practice time and time again. I don't know for certain what or is next and yet some how I feel like the world is holding me and wants me to step into the threshold.
Yoga as embodiment is a space to heal and connect to the deeper parts of ourselves, bone, muscle, soul. The parts that get forgotten as we go about our days. Embodiment for me means to truely be in your body regardless if it's screaming, crying, smiling, laughing, full of joy. I know how hard that can be, at times we might feel that our body is not safe and all we want to do is run and not come back.
The challenge is that know matter how hard we try we cannot leave our bodies while we live and the antidote to this challenge is to keep finding your body, even if it's just you toe.
So yes here I am creating a space that loves you no matter, that teaches to love yourself no matter what and to give you the permission to feel admits the turmoil of life. Through yoga we arrive here again and again. Here I Am.
